Do I need a consultation?It’s always best to consult first to ensure you’re a good candidate for laser hair removal success. Note that the consult and treatment can be done at the same time.

How many treatments will I need?We typically recommend 4-6 treatments, with 6-10 weeks between each treatment, to achieve optimal hair removal. However, you will see results consistently after each session. Laser hair removal requires multiple treatments because hair grows in different phases. It’s necessary to repeat the treatments at the intervals recommended by your provider to achieve the best results. Missing a treatment could mean missing the optimal stage of hair growth for removal, thereby increasing the number of treatments required. We also recommend potentially one “clean up” sessions each year (if there is anything there).

What do I need to do to prepare for my appointment?To prepare, start by shaving the area the day before so that the laser does not burn the hair above the skin. Try to not pluck or wax for at least 6 weeks before so that we can target hair in the right hair growth cycle. It’s also best to avoid tanning and sun exposure, so that the skin is less sensitive to the laser.

How long does laser hair removal last?Ideally permanently, though sometimes touch ups are needed once per year.
